Tried a new recipe today.....epic fail!! I normally use buttermilk instead of milk in my recipes (it makes a moister cake) but this particular recipe specifically called for "whole milk" but I didn't listen and the cupcakes were a complete mess, had to throw away the entire thing. Ah well, lesson learned!! I'm
definately going to try this recipe again but will be sure to use "whole milk" next time. ;)
My other batch of cupcakes though, turned out excellent!!!! I especially adore the "mini" hi-hat cupcakes they are so adorable!

Well, this is short and sweet, because I've got to get back into the kitchen and finish icing my cupcakes, start dinner, make my dish for bible study
tonite and clean-up the mess which is my favorite part of baking.......NOT!!!!!

Monica, What is in the underneath the chocolate coating of the hi-hat cupcakes; is it frosting? The red velvets look beautiful, by the way!
ReplyDeleteIt's merigue frosting. This is the first time I made it and although I made it exactly as directed the frosting is VERY grainy. Next time I make it I'm going to do a few things differently and see if it works better. Thanks, Vanessa!
